may nineteenth

Five for May 19th:

Bikes. Much-needed ride in to work this morning after a week of inactivity. Felt great, even though it was a bit on the chilly side. There’s nothing like bookending a Monday- or any work day- with a couple of bike rides.

Sodastream. Hooked Lisa up with an early birthday present of a Sodastream, which will save us probably hundreds of dollars a year on what we’d otherwise spend on boxes of La Croix. Now just have to pick up some extra bottles and new flavors to experiment with.

Janey. The good news: she had an awesome weekend of playing on her new backyard slide/playhouse, dancing like a maniac at Taste of Maplewood, wagon-riding to Clifton Park and hanging out on Art Hill. The bad news: she woke up this morning with a fever and some gnarly diaper rash, which meant an early run to the store for some apple juice and ointment.

Cool stuff. World’s biggest record nerd, breaking ground on the new driveway in two weeks, garage sale scores, Peanut Butter Crunch, Buzzcocks on Spotify, flying kites.

Gleaming the Cube. JB session on Saturday morning with Andy, Brian, Kenny, and a few others, and a super (super) quick roll around the decaying Kingshighway park on Sunday morning. Probably my last time there before the bridge comes down.
