may second

Five for May 2nd:

Baphometal. The Church of Satan has commissioned a monument to be erected for the front of the Oklahoma statehouse. There is perhaps nothing on earth more metal (and hilarious) than that statue.

20 Eyes. Before the Misfits re-recorded all of "Walk Among Us" for their deal with Ruby Records, they laid down a much slower and more harmony-rich version of “20 Eyes”, which retains the Elvis-y soul-ishness the band had in their Static Age days. Super good.

Shred-sledding. Super fun time at Ramp Riders with Andy last night. With the exception of a few BMX dudes, the place was pretty much ours to skate, and skate we did.

Cool stuff. Iron Maiden Eddie door knocker, cheap and awesome frozen pizza, K-cup re-up, front yard bus-watching with Jane, payday, Kyle Berard 7 Seconds at Svitak’s.

Weekend action. Lisa will be out of town with Jane on Saturday and some of Sunday, so there will be a veritable ton of housework getting done along with a long-overdue skate session at YAP. If I’m able to move following those things, potentially checking out MCF at Cinco de Cherokee, going to the gym, and whatever else.
