may twenty-first

Five for May 21st:

Upcoming shows. Hell Night and the Bureau reunion at Fubar, Brian Posehn stand-up and Shonen Knife at Firebird, Black Flag at the Blue Note in Columbia.

Neil deGrasse Tyson. Look, I like the guy as much as anyone, but not every single Neil deGrasse Tyson quote needs to be turned into a jpeg and shared on Facebook. The guy is smart and says interesting things, we get it. Give it a rest.

Brick by Chance and Fortune. Bill Streeter’s excellent documentary is now on available to watch on Youtube in its entirety. Highly recommended viewing.

Cool stuff. Lunch cruising on the new setup, night frittatas, deck demolition/rebuild underway, Maiden England, coffee to-go, the Ultimate St. Louis Band Summer Mixtape.

Santa Cruz. Their limited run of reissue Salba tiger, Roskopp eye, and Grosso toybox decks sold out practically before they were done being shrinkwrapped. I love how they make 250 each of the boards everyone in the world wants, and infinite numbers of their cheesy novelty decks that no one cares about. May be time to rethink that strategy.
