july twenty-ninth

Five for July 29th:

Normal vs. Abnormal. Ezra Klein nails it again: "Trump has already been scolded by his own party for racist comments, for attacks on the judiciary, for undermining the NATO alliance, for inviting foreign governments to meddle in American elections. None of this is okay. None of it is normal. This is not a man with the temperament, the steadiness, or the discipline to be president".

July. Another summer month down the drain- but it was a good one. Here’s to (almost) two more before fall kicks in.

Descendents. Their long-awaited new record Hypercaffium Spazzinate is finally out as of today. Jamming it on Spotify as we speak. So far, pretty killer. Liking it a lot more than Cool To Be You, which I don't think I've ever been able to listen to all the way through.

Cool stuff. Hell Night’s first show with Brian on August 18, new issue of Thrasher, Ron Allen new part at age 53, Skatecrunch Instagram, popcorn Friday, evening at the park, an interview with the World Industries’ customer service guy.

Weekend action. After being out of town or on the road to some degree the last four weekends in a row, it’ll be nice to have a mellow one at home. Joan of Dark at Foam, skating, hitting the pool, hanging out with the kids, and whatever else comes along.
