Five for November 14th:
Fall cleanup. With the kids at the farm, Lisa and I conducted a long-overdue, extensive purge of crap around the house yesterday. Cleaned out every closet, filled several bags and boxes with clothes, sheets and toys for donations, took junk to the curb, and loaded our trash can to the absolute brim. A great weight has been lifted.
Essential Knots. Seth’s new band had their debut Saturday evening at Foam and were so dialed you’d think they had been around for a decade. Can’t wait to see what these guys do.
Autographs unearthed while housecleaning. Lee Ving from Fear on the back of a Butt Trumpet 8x10 glossy photo, Chuck Berry on the back of a McMurray Music business card, Dolemite on the back of a random flyer, Pete Parisi on a World Wide Magazine sticker.
Cool stuff. New family photos, Clifton Park in fall, JB sesh with the old man crew, pumpkin muffins at work, Flotsam and Jetsam at Firebird tonight, Dennis Busenitz's "Up To Speed" Documentary, If you voted for Trump because he’s ‘anti-establishment,’ guess what: You got conned.
Date Night. King and I for some spring rolls, tofu curry and Tsingtao at one of our favorite old haunts.
