july nineteenth

Five for July 19th:

Drive day. Kid-transportation commitments prevented me from riding the bike in today- as they do pretty much every Wednesday- but hoping to get back on the saddle tomorrow, heat wave be damned.

Rogue One. Forget episodes 1, 2, and 3 even exist. As far as I’m concerned, Rogue One is the only prequel. Certainly the only one you need to bother watching.

Tricks I landed at the ditch yesterday. Frontside disaster, rock n’ roll to backside 180 out, backside 50/50, backside feeble stall, frontside 50/50 to disaster, backside pivot.

Cool stuff. New issue of Decibel, blueberry RX bar, lunchtime solo slappy session at the Schnucks curbs, ctrl-shift-N, leftover salmon.

Quote of the day. "That commitment to abstract anti-government dogma, without any concern for the practical impact, is the quality that makes the Republican Party unlike right-of-center governing parties in any other democracy. In no other country would a conservative party develop a plan for health care that every major industry stakeholder calls completely unworkable." -Jonathan Chait
